With an ambitious plan to invest strongly in the development of new tourism products, Failte Ireland Ireland’s National Tourism Development Board needed a more effective way of assessing new product ideas and supporting their development into new tourism experiences that would strongly appeal to potential visitors.
We designed a stage-gate innovation system to manage the flow of ideas, based around a set of evaluation criteria that combined visitor needs, operational considerations and strategic priorities, to enable resources to be allocated to the highest-potential ideas, and worked with the client to ensure smooth implementation of the system.
